Finding tiles that are just right, can be a long drawn-out affair, and that’s why there are a number of Tile Shops to help guide you.
Recently we visited Mattonella Tile Studio, in Stone, Staffordshire. This outfit, on the edge of Stone and close to the main roads and very easy to find. We were greeted in a very friendly, non pressured, manner by Darren, the owner. He’s very knowledgable and, this where the difference comes in, he’s very interested and passionate about tiles. Nothing was too much trouble, and even our perhaps basic questions were thoroughly explained and guidance given, where we asked for it.
We have been to big tile chains, and the difference is striking - a lot don’t care. Their staff are their just to do their 9-5 shift and not interested in tiles, they are just there to guide you to the right aisle. Mattonellla on the other hand, know their stuff inside out and it comes across that they love talking about it too.
Some of their tiles include Villeroy & Boch tiles, swimming pool tiles, quartz tiles, Ceramica Sant’Agostino and more.
